Meghan McCain daughter of the late Senator John McCain recently shared some thoughts on medical cannabis. She got into the topic with Ricki Lake on The View , a talk show McCain co-hosts. Ricki was on the show speaking about her pro-marijuana documentary. The documentary is about the governments’ lack of research into the use of medical marijuana and takes a look into children using cannabis products to treat their illnesses.
McCain expresses her frustration with the stigma surrounding cannabis and claims she believes marijuana could have extended her fathers’ life.
She points out a study in which cancer patients treated with cannabis and cbd along with their kemo therapy lived up to one year longer than patients who did not consume cannabis products.
McCain stated that “legalizing marijuana in the U.S. could benefit the economy” she talks about it in her 2012 book titled “America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom”. She has openly admitted to smoking pot and has been in support of legalization since 2012.
